Nurse Practitioner / Advanced Nurse Practitioner
About the Role
To work autonomously, the NP or ANP is responsible for consulting with patients who wish to be seen by a health care
professional; diagnosing and treating patients presenting with minor illness; seeing and advising people in respect of
their continuing medical and nursing needs. All consultations will be recorded on SystmOne, the clinical IT system. NP
or ANP is required to conduct both telephone and F2F appointments at ten-minute intervals. Intermittently there is a
requirement to see extra or emergency patients and carry out home visits for an agreed cohort of patients. The nurse
practitioner will need to prioritise and triage the needs of patients accordingly, making any necessary referrals for
