Nursery Manager

About the Role

We are looking for a dedicated Nursery Manager to lead our nursery for children aged 1–3 years. This maternity cover role involves managing daily operations, ensuring high-quality early years education, and fostering a nurturing environment in line with EYFS standards. Responsibilities

• Lead daily nursery operations, ensuring a safe and engaging environment.
• Oversee staff performance and maintain appropriate supervision ratios.
• Act as a key person, managing a designated room's daily activities.
• Support and mentor colleagues for professional development.
• Implement high-quality learning opportunities in line with EYFS.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and safeguarding policies.
• Collaborate with leadership to improve quality and outcomes.

Requirements

• Early Years Teacher Status (EYTS) or equivalent Level 6 qualification.
• Recent EYFS-related training evidence.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Nursery Manager or similar role.
• At least 1 year’s experience in a baby room setting.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to build positive relationships with children and parents.

Compensation

Salary ranges from £39,360 to £40,817 per annum, commensurate with experience and qualifications.

Location & Schedule

Position based in Saffron Walden, full-time, Monday to Friday, 7:30 am – 6:00 pm, 52 weeks per year.
