About the Role
Job purpose The Nurse Associate is a new professional role as registered and recorded by the NMC and is accountable for
their practice. The Nursing Associate will have developed and maintained knowledge, skills and competencies related
through completion of the nationally recognised Nursing Associate training programme. This includes working in variety
of care settings and delivery of person-centred care across all the fields of nursing. The aim of the role is to bridge
the gap between health and care assistants and Registered Nurses; complementing the Registered Nurse role and working
under an appropriate level of supervision from the Registered Nurse. Working as part of the wider multi-disciplinary
