Oncology SACT Navigator

About the Role

To support the Oncology Unit Manager/Unit Co-ordinator by assisting the nursing team in the co-ordination of the Units

activities to maximise efficiency and prevention of delays within the pathway. Liaising with the nursing and oncology

pharmacy staff to co-ordinate the supply of systemic anti-cancer treatments (SACT) so that it is available for the time

of each patients appointment. Liaising between nursing staff, aseptic pharmacy, and outpatient pharmacy (TTOs) regarding

patient attendance and communicating go ahead or any delays. Triaging telephone calls and providing basic advice,

support, and signposting. Liaising and referring to other appropriate healthcare professionals. Ensuring that any
