Oncology Specialist Nurse
About the Role
To safely deliver SACT to a complex caseload of cancer patients in line with agreed local and national standards,
demonstrating excellent venepuncture and cannulation skills and management of central venous access devices. To work
independently in nurse led pre-assessment clinics, assessing treatment related toxicities and escalating concerns to the
senior nurse on duty or patients oncologist. To deliver specialist education to patients, carers and other health
professionals and act as a practice supervisor for students. To continue to develop and maintain own clinical competency
and knowledge of treatments, and skills in the safe administration of SACT and supportive treatments. To demonstrate
