Oncology Team Lead

About the Role

Spire Dunedin Hospital is seeking an experienced Oncology Team Lead to enhance our cancer services team. This part-time role focuses on leading the Systemic Anti-Cancer Therapy (SACT) service, ensuring high-quality patient care, providing specialist education, and overseeing the chemotherapy team.

Responsibilities

• Provide strong clinical leadership in oncology services
• Deliver SACT and non-SACT treatment to patients
• Ensure compliance with cancer service standards
• Manage direct patient care and clinical caseload
• Drive quality improvement initiatives across services
• Oversee training and monitoring of triage protocols
• Act as Health and Safety lead for the department

Requirements

• Registered Nurse with valid NMC registration
• Accredited SACT qualification and competency
• Extensive experience in cancer care and administration
• Previous management experience in healthcare
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
