About the Role

provide a high quality, evidence based, comprehensive range of core optometry services to children and adults attending

the hospital eye service. To work autonomously and as a source of expertise to assess, diagnose, plan, implement and

monitor treatment as appropriate, providing advice and guidance concerning optometry to patients, carers, consultants

and other health care professionals. To carry a full caseload of all types of Optometry patients including paediatrics,

patients with learning difficulties and adults with neurological and medical conditions. To be responsible as lead
