Paediatric Liaison Sister / Charge Nurse

About the Role

The Paediatric liaison sister will play an active role in preventative work, to recognise when early help is required to

prevent significant harm to children and young people. The role will involve reviewing Paediatric ED attendances and

safeguarding cases notified to the safeguarding team, to ensure the appropriate interventions have been initiated and to

maintain effective information sharing where safeguarding concerns have been identified, to improve continuity and

standards of care facilitating a seamless service for children and their families, including those without a GP. To

identify frequent attendees to the ED department, liaising directly with appropriate professionals as required. To
