About the Role

Palliative Care can be offered to Patients when their illness can no longer be cured. This is not only for people with

cancer but also other illnesses like heart failure and respiratory diseases.

Palliative Care shifts the focus from ‘getting better’ to ‘feeling well’ whilst managing an incurable illness;

optimising quality of life and then supporting Patients and their families as they approach the end of their lives and

are dying, focusing on dignity and comfort.
