About the Role
Greet all visitors to the unit in a friendly, helpful and courteous manner. Obtaining and registering confidential
information from all patients attending SDEC. This is to include the updating of any changed patient details, using a
smart card enabling all staff to access summary care records to obtain the patients NHS number. To be the first point of
contact for patients/relatives attending SDEC. Dealing with difficult, distressing situations and alerting the nursing
or clinical staff to patients or situations that are cause for concern, e.g., chest pains, to access equipment urgently
for patients until a nurse is alerted. The undertaking of general organisation of paperwork and notes within the Unit to
