About the Role
Effective and efficient reception service provided to patients and any other visitors to the practice Deal with all
general enquiries and explain practice procedures Explain practice arrangements to new patients and those seeking
temporary cover Receive and make telephone calls Transfer calls and take messages, ensuring accuracy of detail Book,
amend or cancel appointments for patients in line with practice procedure Book ambulances and district nurse visits as
required Inform patients of charges for private services and take payments Record information in patient records as
required Undertaken administrative tasks e.g. registrations, prescriptions, scanning Sign in visitors to the practice
