Pharmacy Assistant Technical Officer

About the Role

JOB PURPOSE To assist in the accurate and safe assembly of medicines to be dispensed for individual patients To assist

in the preparation of medication for delivery to wards and clinical areas focusing on stock management, distribution and

efficient supply Process, deliver and unpack stock deliveries ensuring good storage and rotation of stock Ensure the

timely and efficient delivery of requests for pharmaceutical products across the Trust by the dispensing and issuing of

prescriptions, signed orders and controlled drugs orders establishing and maintain a communication link between pharmacy

and the wards served. Supervising pharmacy support workers, dispensers and trainees in the department and across all
