About the Role

As a Healthcare Assistant, you will undertake delegated clinical and administrative duties under indirect supervision. You will be an important member of the practice team, working within clear parameters and after appropriate training and competency assessment.

Responsibilities

  • Phlebotomy and blood pressure monitoring
  • Administering selected vaccines and medications
  • Undertaking NHS Health Checks
  • Chaperoning patients during examinations
  • Processing laboratory samples
  • Maintaining clinical equipment and treatment rooms
  • Accurate clinical record keeping
  • Signposting patients to relevant services

Requirements

  • Previous experience as a Healthcare Assistant
  • Competence in phlebotomy
  • NVQ Level 2 qualification or equivalent
  • English and Maths GCSE grade C/4 or above
  • Basic IT skills (desirable)

Location & Schedule

Located in March, Cambridgeshire. Part-time hours: Wednesday PM, Thursday all day, Friday all day.
