Physiotherapy Assistant

About the Role

To give general assistance to the therapist within the area of work. Supervise patient activities within the area of

work i.e. 1 to 1 delegated exercise programmes, assisting in the delivery of patient education and exercise classes. To

assist in the running of the hydrotherapy service, under thesupervision of a senior physiotherapist. To carry out the

portering of patients between wards and department. To assist patients with personal care including toileting and

dressing To take patient information handover on the Ward from nursing staffwhen deemed competent by a Senior

Physiotherapist to do so. To book, cancel and rearrange patient appointment as necessary using the department electronic
