About the Role
The Practice Educator/Facilitator has a prime responsibility to develop and support the midwifery staff, midwifery
support workers with a focus on student midwives. The post holder will act as an expert practitioner providing midwifery
clinical leadership and foster a climate where practice development becomes integral to the education of all staff.
• Support the Practice Education Lead and Head of Midwifery & Gynaecology with the educational activities of individual
pre and post registration students and return to practice (RTP) midwives, by working in partnership with the HEI to
promote evidenced based learning in the development of midwifery practice, encompassing local and national service
