Main Duties of the Role Assessing Patient Needs Assess and manage patients nursing needs including care passed to the
Nurse by the GP Deliver care in line with Practice Policy and National protocols General Nursing Care Provide a broad
range of general nursing care and refer to a GP when needed Duties include wound assessment and management ear
irrigation chaperoning pathology samples ECG hypertension management immunisations travel health advice and vaccinations
cervical screening and new patient health checks Women's health including HRT family planning breast awareness and swabs
health education including smoking alcohol weight diet and medication telephone advice and support smoking cessation
