About the Role
A respected nursery in Southampton is seeking a dedicated Part-time Qualified Nursery Assistant. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children and a commitment to fostering their growth in a nurturing environment, ensuring high-quality care and education aligned with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
Responsibilities
- Assist in planning engaging activities aligned with the EYFS framework
- Support lead practitioners in providing exceptional care
- Ensure children's safety and well-being at all times
- Maintain a clean and stimulating learning environment
- Communicate effectively with parents and colleagues
- Observe and assess children's development accurately
Requirements
- Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in childcare
- Previous nursery experience is essential
- Valid DBS check required
- Current paediatric first aid certificate needed
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
