About the Role

The Relief Nursery Practitioner will support the care and development of young children in a nurturing environment. You will work varied shifts, ensuring that each child feels safe, valued, and happy.

Responsibilities

• Provide care for children aged five and under.
• Implement engaging activities based on child development.
• Contribute to children's learning journeys.
• Ensure a safe and supportive environment.
• Build positive relationships with children and families.

Requirements

• Experience in caring for young children.
• DfE approved early years qualification (level 2 or above preferred).
• Knowledge of child development and EYFS.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Commitment to safeguarding and child welfare.

Compensation

Hourly wage ranges from £12.36 to £13.77, depending on experience and qualifications.

Location & Schedule

Position based at West Downs Day Nursery, Winchester. Varied, ad-hoc shifts from 07:30 to 18:30, Monday to Friday.
