JOB OVERVIEW
The Named Nurse for Safeguarding Children and Lead for Domestic Abuse and Child Protection – Information Systems (CP-IS)
plays a pivotal role in ensuring University Hospitals Bristol and Weston NHS Trust ( UHBW ) delivers safe and effective
care, adhering to the Human Rights Act (1998), Children Act 1989/2004, Domestic Abuse Act (2021) , Mental Capacity Act
(MCA, 2005) and the Mental Capacity Amendment Act (2019) and Care Act (2014). This incorporates any legislative
statutory guidance e.g. Working Together to Safeguard Children 2023.
