About the Role
JOB DESCRIPTION
The Specialist Nurse is a practitioner with extensive clinical knowledge within the field of Rheumatology. The post
holder’s role will be to deliver specialist nursing care and treatments, education and counselling to patients,
co-ordinating care between the rheumatology unit and home environment. The post-holder will work closely with other
members of the Rheumatology teams in primary and secondary care to deliver evidence based care to patients. The post
holder will support patients with identified significant rheumatology conditions, providing nursing care, support and
