SEN Learning Support Assistant

About the Role

Brookland Infant & Nursery School is seeking a dedicated SEN Learning Support Assistant to join our supportive team. This full-time, fixed-term role involves working with children with special educational needs both inside and outside the classroom. Ideal candidates will have experience supporting children with social, emotional, and mental health needs, and a passion for fostering inclusive education.

Responsibilities

• Support children in mainstream and specialized settings.
• Collaborate with teachers and SENDCO on individual needs.
• Utilize resources and interventions effectively.
• Observe and assess children's progress.
• Participate in training and professional development.

Requirements

• Experience in a school setting, preferably with primary age children.
• Knowledge of SEMH needs and strategies.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team.
• Willingness to undergo child protection screening.

Compensation

Salary range is between £24,796 and £25,185, pro-rated for term time only.

Location & Schedule

Located in Cheshunt, Hertfordshire, this is a full-time position starting November 2025.
