SEN Teacher
About the Role
As a KS3 ASD Specialist, you will lead a small class of pupils with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and complex needs, supported by experienced Teaching Assistants. Your role is crucial in creating an engaging and structured learning environment.
Responsibilities
- Deliver tailored KS3 curriculum aligned with pupils' needs.
- Lead on setting and reviewing targets in EHCPs.
- Collaborate with TAs for consistent learning experiences.
- Implement positive behaviour support strategies.
- Maintain comprehensive records of pupil progress.
Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with UK teaching experience.
- Significant experience with pupils with ASD.
- Strong communication and classroom management skills.
- Enhanced DBS check or willingness to obtain one.
