About the Role
A secondary school in St Helens is seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to support students with additional needs. This full-time role involves providing 1:1 and small group assistance, promoting inclusion, and collaborating with teachers and professionals to enhance student engagement and confidence.
Responsibilities
- Support students with special educational needs across subjects.
- Provide targeted 1:1 and small group support.
- Help students stay engaged and focused in learning.
- Collaborate with teachers and external professionals.
- Promote inclusion and personal growth.
Requirements
- Experience working with SEN students, especially Autism and ADHD.
- Patient, calm, and enthusiastic demeanor.
- Ability to follow individual learning plans.
- Clear communication skills with students and staff.
- Valid Enhanced DBS or willingness to apply.
