SEN Youth Mentor
About the Role
ABC Teachers is seeking SEN Youth Mentors for a specialist school in Birmingham. This full-time role involves supporting children with additional needs, including ASD and challenging behaviors. You will work in both group and one-on-one settings, adapting to each pupil's needs to ensure a productive school experience. A nurturing and empathetic attitude is essential for success in this position.
Responsibilities
- Support children with additional needs in various settings.
- Adapt to individual learning requirements and triggers.
- Foster positive relationships with students.
- Implement strategies to manage challenging behaviors.
- Ensure a safe and productive learning environment.
Requirements
- Experience working with children or young people.
- Valid references from previous roles required.
- Enhanced DBS check, registered to the Update Service.
- Minimum two years supporting students with SEN.
