About the Role

Our innovative Cardiology department’s Cardiac Cath labs comprise of 5 cath labs, a recovery area and an Elective Unit.

Procedures completed in the cath lab include coronary diagnostic procedures, interventional angioplasty,

Electrophysiology Studies and Pacemaker insertion. In addition we run a 24 hour heart attack service which is provided

out of hours on an on call basis. Our service currently entails 2.5 GA lists a week supporting complex pacing and

electrophysiology procedures. We also have a fortnightly cardioversion list. This is set to increase in the future.
