About the Role

OBSTETRICS The Labour and Delivery Suite has Fourteen rooms in total, including high risk rooms, multi-purpose

delivery/observation rooms, a high dependency room, a family bereavement room, a birthing pool, obstetric theatre and

theatre recovery areas. A dedicated obstetric theatre is situated on Labour Ward. All accommodation are en-suite. A new

reception and waiting area has been established, along with a counselling room, improved office accommodation, a staff

resource room and sitting room. There are approximately 3000 deliveries undertaken within the Unit each year. The Unit

consists of an inpatient ward (Wharncliffe Ward) combining Antenatal and Postnatal care with a total of 24 obstetric
