About the Role

This would be an excellent opportunity to increase your expertise in all aspects of stroke care. The stroke unit (ward

41) has 6 hyperacute and 30 acute/rehabilitation beds. The stroke service lies within the Department of Neurosciences

and you will join a team that consists of 6 consultant stroke physicians (from different parent specialties: Geriatrics,

Acute Medicine, Neurology), 2 Neurology Specialist Registrars, a Geriatric Specialist Registrar and 8 Junior Clinical

Fellows, an F1 trainee as well as a 24/7 rota of Stroke Clinical Nurse Specialists [CNS], a stroke co-ordinator and 2

research nurses/facilitators.
