About the Role
The post holder assists in the decontamination and distribution of flexible endoscopes for use in direct patient care.
They also provide support to qualified nursing and ancillary staff in all areas of the Trust that specialise in
endoscopic procedures.
The post holder:
1. Applies theoretical knowledge to decontaminate all endoscopes and accessories in accordance with the unit policies,
BSG guidelines, Medicines and Healthcare Products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) and manufacturer’s guidelines.
