Senior Healthcare Assistant, A&E

About the Role

You will assist with washing and dressing patients, using hoists as appropriate. You will assist with serving meals and

feeding patients, including reporting on their intake and recording on charts as appropriate. You will assist with

toileting, escorting patients to and from the lavatory and recording outputs where necessary. You will assist the

qualified nurses with NEWS 2 vital sign monitoring and escalate appropriately. You will undertake venepuncture,

cannulation, blood glucose and ECG training to assist with the registered nurses. You will work within the minor

injuries unit and assist with minor dressings, eye washouts and applying plaster of paris to fractures. You will assist
