About the Role
To lead, develop, and continuously improve clinical care and serviceswithin a designated directorate in the care group,
providing leadership and expertise to strategically influence and assure the provision of high quality, safe, and
effective care to nursing staff, patients and the public. To provide clinical and professional leadership to assigned
Matrons and specialist nursing/midwifery teams ensuring that action is taken at all levels to empower nurses/midwives to
provide high standards of care in a safe environment. To act as a professional role model, demonstrating the trust
vision and values and ensuring that staff work within regulatory, legal and trust policies and procedures in maintaining
