Senior Peer Support Worker - New Dove Ward
About the Role
As part of the acute team the post holder will provide practical, individual and group support to people within the
service using their own lived experience and role modelling to enhance the therapeutic relationship and enable mothers
to achieve their individual recovery goals. Using recovery principles and socially inclusive practice, the post-holder
will support service users in their personal recovery journeys through the Mental Health Service. This means providing
peer support for people who experience mental health and social needs. They will foster a relationship of mutuality and
information sharing, to promote choice, self-determination, opportunities and hope. They will raise awareness about
