Senior Staff Nurse

About the Role

As a Senior Paediatric Staff Nurse, you will lead and mentor junior nurses while delivering holistic care plans for children with complex needs. You will also step up to lead the unit in the absence of the Sister/Charge Nurse and drive quality improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor junior nursing staff.
• Deliver holistic care for children with complex needs.
• Step up as unit leader in the absence of senior staff.
• Conduct audits to drive quality improvement.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team.

Requirements

• NMC Child Registered Nurse (RCN) qualification.
• Clinical experience in paediatric neuro-rehabilitation.
• Confidence in supervising and mentoring colleagues.
• Experience with tracheostomised patients is advantageous.
• Strong safeguarding knowledge and communication skills.
