Shared Lives Carer (Long term placements) - social services
About the Role
Shared Lives Carers provide long-term social care placements in their own homes to support people from the age of 18,
with learning disabilities, mental health, autism and Asperger’s, physical disabilities, sensory impairment or who are
living with dementia and older people or who have lifelong disabilities who need personal care support in a homely
environment.
The Shared Lives Longer Term Carer provides a home for adults with care and support needs. Being a Longer-Term Carer is
not a lifelong commitment and placements are not permanent, however placements can last between 1 year and upwards of 25
