About the Role
The Skills Bootcamp at Pinecones Nursery School offers a free, intensive 7-week program designed to equip you with essential skills for a career in Early Years education. Participants will gain practical experience through placements, receive a Paediatric First Aid certificate, and have the opportunity to fast-track into a Level 3 Early Years Educator apprenticeship.
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality care for children in the setting.
- Support the room supervisor and assist with daily routines.
- Act as a Keyworker for a group of children.
- Plan activities based on children's interests.
- Maintain accurate records of children's achievements.
- Ensure a safe and nurturing environment.
- Communicate effectively with parents and caregivers.
Requirements
- Clear DBS check is mandatory.
- GCSE Grades A*-C in English and Maths preferred.
- Enthusiasm for working with young children.
- Understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage.
- Experience in childcare, either voluntary or paid.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
