Skills Bootcamp - Early Years

About the Role

The Skills Bootcamp at Pinecones Nursery School offers a free, intensive 7-week program designed to equip you with essential skills for a career in Early Years education. Participants will gain practical experience through placements, receive a Paediatric First Aid certificate, and have the opportunity to fast-track into a Level 3 Early Years Educator apprenticeship.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality care for children in the setting.
• Support the room supervisor and assist with daily routines.
• Act as a Keyworker for a group of children.
• Plan activities based on children's interests.
• Maintain accurate records of children's achievements.
• Ensure a safe and nurturing environment.
• Communicate effectively with parents and caregivers.

Requirements

• Clear DBS check is mandatory.
• GCSE Grades A*-C in English and Maths preferred.
• Enthusiasm for working with young children.
• Understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage.
• Experience in childcare, either voluntary or paid.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
