About the Role
As a Specialist Biomedical Scientist, you will resolve complex laboratory issues, perform a range of investigations, and ensure quality control. Your role includes managing stock, maintaining equipment, and participating in research. You will also communicate effectively with clinicians and staff, ensuring accurate data management and compliance with regulations.
Responsibilities
- Resolve complex equipment and process problems.
- Perform manual and automated laboratory investigations.
- Manage stock control and usage effectively.
- Conduct quality control procedures per established protocols.
- Communicate test results and provide instructions to staff.
- Supervise and mentor junior staff and trainees.
Requirements
- Registered with the Health and Care Professions Council.
- Experience in laboratory data management.
- Knowledge of quality management systems.
- Ability to work with hazardous materials safely.
