About the Role

The Specialist Brachytherapy Practitioner will deliver brachytherapy treatments, perform quality control, and develop treatment plans for prostate, gynaecological, and skin cancers. This role offers variety and collaboration with clinical scientists, oncologists, and nursing staff.

Responsibilities

• Provide brachytherapy treatments and patient care.
• Conduct routine quality control of radiotherapy equipment.
• Attend multi-disciplinary team meetings for case discussions.
• Produce complex brachytherapy plans using imaging modalities.
• Assist with brachytherapy applicator insertions and documentation.

Requirements

• State registration as a therapy radiographer or clinical technologist.
• Experience in brachytherapy techniques and equipment.
• Ability to manage and prioritize daily tasks effectively.
• Strong communication skills for patient support.

Location & Schedule

The role is based at The Christie in Withington, with flexible hours typically between 7:30 am and 6 pm, Monday to Friday.
