About the Role

This post is designed to support the development of advanced gynaecological and robotic surgical skills for a Specialist

Grade in Obstetrics and Gynaecology with a special interest in oncology diagnostics.

The primary aim of the role is to equip the specialist grade doctor with the clinical, surgical, and managerial

competencies required to transition confidently into a substantive consultant post. The post offers extensive exposure

to benign gynaecology, gynaecological oncology, and robotic surgery, through a structured programme that includes direct

and indirectly supervised outpatient clinics and theatre lists alongside consultants. This experience is intended to
