Specialist School Nurse - Inclusion
About the Role
To work as an autonomous Specialist School Nurse to deliver the Healthy Child Programme and to support the health and
emotional well-being needs of Children and Young People (CYP) aged 5-19 who are Educated Other Than at School, including
CYP who are attending pupil referral units, electively home educated (EHE), missing from education and who are open to
the local authority attendance team and assessed as having a identified health need requiring school nursing
intervention. To be the allocated named School Nurse for three Alternative Provisions (AP) within Southend-On-Sea. To
work in partnership with a wide range of professionals including but not limited to, GPs, Health Visiting, School
