Specialty Doctor in Elderly Care
About the Role
The Trust has two sites - Royal Stoke and County Hospital, with services for older adults provided on both sites. Royal
Stoke site has four acute wards and an FEAU (Frail Elderly Assessment Unit) together with two step-down wards. County
Site has one elderly care ward with plans to open a step-down ward. The Department has 8 substantive consultants at
Royal Stoke and 1 substantive consultant at County and you will join a team of 3 other specialty doctors and 10 Trust
Grade doctors, in addition to trainee doctors. The post holder may be required to rotate to County Hospital. The post
holder will be part of a multidisciplinary team providing clinical care to older patients and will work with
