About the Role
The Leicester Sport and Exercise Medicine (SEM) service was established in 1993 and is the largest NHS SEM service in
the UK. Its main base is at Leicester General Hospital where it has dedicated space and runs activity daily, but also
runs clinics 3 days per week at the National Centre for Sport & Exercise Medicine (NCSEM)
The established multi-disciplinary team includes 5 Consultants in Sport & Exercise Medicine (SEM), and a further
Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon with an interest in Sports Injuries Surgery.
Clinical care is provided by three senior physiotherapists, one clinical nurse specialist, and a podiatrist.
