Speech and Language Therapy Assistant
About the Role
Speech and Language Therapy Assistant providing therapy to children with a range of speech, language or communication
delays. Children are assessed by the Therapist and goals will be set. The Assistant carries out the weekly therapy,
working directly with the child, supporting the parents and occasionally liaising with nursery or school. The Assistant
has weekly supervision with the Therapist who reviews progress and advises on future targets.
The clinic offers a highly supportive environment, with peer supervision as well as weekly formal supervision and
reflection. The Assistant is supported to complete weekly case notes, document progress and provide homework activities
