About the Role
Off-Island Specialist services Transfers to the mainland by air ambulance occur regularly, and on occasion out of hours.
The post holder may be required to take part in such transfers, subject to holding the necessary qualifications. The
main involvement in transferring patients to the UK involves communication and liaison and not having to physically
transfer the patient. Training The post holder will be expected to participate in the training of Medical Staff for whom
he/she is responsible and ensure that training and learning needs are identified and facilitated. Resident doctors will
be appraised at appropriate intervals. Governance The post holder will be expected to take part in management and audit
