About the Role
The Day Patient Unit consists of a 19 bedded ward area with additional seated
waiting areas for ambulatory patients. A minor operation/procedure room with 2 bedded post-anaesthetic recovery unit
also forms part of the unit along with an Endoscopy Suite.
Service users attend the unit for a variety of surgical, endoscopy, dental, interventional radiological and other
diagnostic procedures.
The overall purpose of the role is to practice clinically as a member of the nursing and multi-professional team within
