About the Role

Dorset County Hospital is recruiting a registered nurse to work with Dorset's Lung Cancer Screening Service.

The service is a Lung cancer screening programme which invites participants aged between 55 - 74 years old who either

smoke currently or have smoked previously for a lung health check.

The NHS long term plan published in 2019 established a plan to diagnose 75% of people with cancer at an early stage by

2028, and this post will support the setting up and implementing of a lung health screening programme across Dorset.

This is a pivotal role, and will support the team to establish a pan Dorset wide Lung Cancer Screening by providing
