About the Role
As an Intermediate Care Unit with 28 beds, we bridge the gap between home and acute hospital services. Patients who are
too unwell or incapacitated in the short term to stay at home but not requiring acute intervention get admitted to our
unit to help them recover and ‘return to baseline’ function.
In addition patients who have had an ‘acute’ episode but are not yet ready to return home will come to us for a short
period of rehabilitation to ensure they are safe to return to their home environment and their abilities are optimised.
We are a team of RNs, Advanced Clinical Practitioners, Healthcare assistants, Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists
