Stoma Care Specialist Nurse
About the Role
Clinical Practice Provide specialist nursing practice intervention so that the specific needs of the individual
patients/clients are addressed. Provide direct care as per job plan, working alongside the nursing staff in the clinical
setting and providing a visible strong role model to ensure best practice. To provide advice and support for all members
of the multi-disciplinary team in the care of patients with a stoma at all stages of their pathway. To communicate
effectively with members of the multidisciplinary team to ensure patients with a stoma experience seamless, high quality
service. To provide guidance, support, advice and counselling to patients and their family/carer. To recognise personal
