Sub Editor
About the Role
We are looking for a subeditor to join our team at New Scientist, ensuring that our work meets high and rigorous
editorial standards. We are particularly interested in early-career journalists with a demonstrated interest in science
and/or science journalism. Training will be provided as needed. The successful candidate will subedit a variety of
content for accuracy, tone and readability, including features, news, culture, newsletters and opinion pieces, for both
digital and print. They will report to the chief subeditor. This is a full-time role and will require working three days
