Support Specialist for Young Learners with Autism

About the Role

We are looking for a dedicated, compassionate, and enthusiastic SEND Teaching Assistant to support young people with

autism spectrum condition (ASC) and complex learning needs. As a SEND Teaching Assistant, you will work alongside a

supportive team of professionals, helping students to reach their full potential in both their academic and personal

development. Your role will include: Supporting pupils in small, structured classes to achieve their learning goals.

Using communication aids (such as PECS, Makaton, or visual supports) to promote understanding. Assisting with sensory

and behaviour support strategies. Encouraging social interaction, emotional regulation, and independence.
