About the Role
You will be supporting a bright and engaging young woman who requires full assistance with daily care. She is non-verbal, uses a wheelchair, and communicates through non-verbal methods. You’ll play a key role in supporting her health, comfort, and participation in daily life both at home and in the community.
Responsibilities
- Providing full personal care and hygiene support
- PEG feeding (including blended diet management – training will be provided)
- Supporting chest care and oral secretion management
- Assisting with moving and handling using specialist equipment
- Administering medications as per training and guidance
- Supporting her emotional wellbeing and communication needs
- Encouraging engagement in leisure activities
- Working alongside healthcare professionals to follow care plans
Requirements
- Experience supporting individuals with complex health and physical disabilities
- Understanding of Cerebral Palsy, HIE, dystonia, and PEG feeding
- Patient, calm, and person-centred approach
- Physically fit for moving and handling tasks
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Willingness to learn and undertake bespoke training
- Enhanced DBS or willingness to complete one
- UK driving licence preferred but not essential

Compensation
Pay rate is £13.50 per hour. Additional benefits may be discussed during the interview.
Location & Schedule
Hours are 2-3 days a week from 9:30 AM to 3:30 PM. Location details will be provided upon application.
