Support Worker - Waking Night for Maternity Cover

About the Role

Advance is seeking a Waking Night Support Worker for maternity cover in Poole. This role involves supporting individuals with learning disabilities, autism, and mental health conditions during the night. You will assist with personal care, meal preparation, and ensuring safety, while enjoying flexible working hours and opportunities for career progression.

Responsibilities

• Assist with personal care and hygiene as needed
• Ensure premises are secure and safe during the night
• Support with meal times and food preparation
• Administer medication as required
• Maintain accurate records and update care plans
• Conduct regular safety checks on customers
• Perform domestic duties such as cleaning and laundry

Requirements

• Good communication skills and teamwork ability
• Ability to complete quality support records
• Willingness to work every other weekend
• Literacy and numeracy skills in English
• Commitment to achieving the Care Certificate

Compensation

The salary for this role is £13,376.54 per annum, equating to £12.83 per hour.

Location & Schedule

This position is based in Poole, with contracted hours of 20 per week, working three nights from 10 PM to 9 AM or 10 PM to 8 AM.
